- Hello it's me and thanks for dropping by. Back in 2005, I read something that has since changed my views about advertising. It led me to think that advertising is actually quite erm… boring. It’s this book called ‘Change the World for a Fiver’. As the name suggests, it’s all about little things and ideas that might help us make the world a little better. Do not get me wrong. I am no do-gooder or some eco-warrior but those little ideas made me realise one thing; The Power of Ideas – BIG ideas. In fact it inspired me so much that it has made me view advertising very differently since. Someone once put it quite aptly, ‘It’s not what you say. It’s how you say it’. And ‘Change the World for a Fiver’ cleverly said it in 100 different ways. The amazing thing is most of those little ideas are advertising ideas, that is if people like us start thinking a little differently. That is what I set out to do these days; think about the idea and the rest will follow. I’m not looking to change the world. I just want to do something different each day.
